A while back I bought a beat up 38 Spl for $105. As it turns out the gun would bind on 2 cylinder spots while shooting double action. I sent the gun to Taurus for repair. They informed me that it was not a Taurus gun and that it was only imported by Taurus. Because they did not make it (only imported it) they had no parts support. I told them to send it back to me and I would have it repaired locally (I live across the creek from John Linebaugh). They stated that they would need to prepare a letter stating that it was "unsafe" to fire. I said "OK". After 10 days and no gun I called and they asked if it would be acceptable to "replace" the gun at no cost to me.
I said sure!!!
I now have a brand new model 82 38 Spl that cost me $105 plus shipping!!
What a company!!! To stand by a product they didn't even make to keep me happy. This is the third Taurus gun in my stable and I doubt it will be my last.
