TIKKA BATTUE ! Where !?? It's a Conspiracy !!

Gang --- I have been looking for a handy 308 bolt action

20" or less barrel
Hammer forged barrel
Good adjustable trigger
Not alot of plastic
600 or less


Don't like most rifles made in the US right now.

Looking at CZ's, TIKKA's, SIG SHR970, and others.

I really like the Tikka Battue, but it is nowhere to be found in the US.  Did it use to be imported ?  Anyone have one or seen one?  

I tried to special- order an SHR970 Alpine (peferct match for my wants) but the price was $1200 - An SHR in the US is what ? 500?  Dgo Figure..

OK don't anyone write back about , Ruger M77, Remington 7, Savage 10, or other such beasts. Tried em - Don't like em.  The new Winchester 70's classics barely cut it.. The Pre 64 models in 308 are $$$$$ and not seen in 20" barrels.  

Why is it I can open the SGN or Gun List and see available so many different types weird designs in rifles, but can not find a single model of  what I am looking for - which appears to me to be such a simple and basic kind of rifle to have???

Unfortunately, the Tikka Battue is not imported in the US.  I have had quite a few people ask me about this specific rifle, but, for whatever reason, Sako (as the owner of Tikka at the time) and Beretta (as the current owner of both Sako and Tikka), has decided to not export the Battue to the U.S.  Many have tried to have them imported, but no one, to my knowledge, has been successful.
