Hi All,
Last Sunday I tried a new load in the CZ, it's an older model a ZKK 601 made in 1994, and at the time had the correct dedicated Zeiss-Jena 4x scope in it's one piece mount:-

Now the scope whilst good for hunting is not the best for precision target shooting due to the heavy Tri Post European reticle. The load I am playing with uses the Speer 150 Grn RN bullet #2017 and Reloader 15 powder with a Rem 9 1/2 primer in a W-W Super case loaded to a col of 2.700".
Although due to what I believe were aiming errors due to the thick post

out of the 10 shots I fired at the one target I got 3 groups slightly apart from one another the largest is 1" the smallest 1/2" with a total spread of 2 1/2". After the range trip I will scan the targets and post them.
OH the rifle has the standard factory bedding including a bedded barrel.

I have had the rifle since new and the modifications I have made are making and adding the Barrel band sling mount to hold the std CZ from loop, stripping the varnish off the stock and relieving the wood in a slope at the loading port and applying a traditional Oiled Finish to the stock and of course removing the set trigger for the curved std trigger

as I prefer the feel of it.
So this Sunday I am going back to the range to retry them but this time I have put a 6x42 Deutche scope in Hilver mounts onto the rifle as the scope not only has a bit more magnification but has a normal Duplex reticle which is more precise on targets and we shall see if I get better results. The shooting is done prone using a fore end rest and prone is not a particularly comfortable position for me after suffering whiplash twice now the neck is not as flexible as it once was but we will try the best that we can
