P239 Clip Extension
« on: August 05, 2006, 01:04:24 PM »
Does anyone know where I can get a clip for the P239 that is longer than the factory clip? My pinkie finger hangs off and I
don't get a good 4 finger grip on this pistol. Perhaps a different pair of grips would do the trick?

This is the perfect carry gun for me but I would love to resolve this issue. Also would like opinions on what I should get, a .40 or .357, it will be used as a concealled carry. Seems the .40 has more kick but which has more stopping power?

Thanks for your expertise!! -Jeb

It's a magazine -- NOT a clip.

I'm the "Newbie" here, so "I" wasn't gonna say that..!; but Man did I want to..! (LOL..!)
(For general Info:)
(Clip = "Has no mechanical moving parts...")
(Magazine = "Has mechanical moving parts...")        ;D

I carry a 239 daily and it has the factory magazine in it and their are 3 finger groves in the grip area, you must have vary large hands if the ones that come from the factory arnt getting it done or you have a extra finger if you want to wrap 4 around the grip frame, it goes like this 3 on the frame, one for the trigger and the thump for single action cocking or de-cocking thats 5 fingers.  You may have a after market magazine that doesnt have the little finger ext. ;)   JIM

Try the Hogue grips, I also have big hands and put these grips on my 239 and it fits great now!
