re-bore or re-barrel
« on: August 05, 2006, 04:28:51 AM »
I have a .308 Winchester I bought and have never shot, in a Tikka Whitetail Hunter.  I am thinking of turning it into another caliber.  What would my options be and who works on Sako/Tikka?   Thanks for the help.  I love the feel of this gun but I have a 30-06 in a T3, so too much of the same thing.  Buckfever

Just tossing ideas around, right? Think what I'd do is keep the 308 and turn the 30-06 into a 338-06.

rebarrel to a 7-08 and you'll find yourself leaving the 06 home a lot.  :D

sell the .308 and buy a caliber you like ,it will be cheaper in the long run . I would be glad to take the.308 Tikka off your hands for $300.00.
