Thanks to .Dirty-.30, my old lure is now identified, the propeller is marked "Barracuda Brand"(which I never noticed! ::)) as mentioned in the history of the Dalton Special website, thanks DT!

The Lucky 13 and a Peco Perch.........when I first started largemouth bass fishing 30yrs.ago..........
This only proves that, when allowed to act outside his lawfully limited authority,a U.S. President is capable of unleashing horrendous violence against the lives, liberty, and property of those he pretends to serve...........

In the midwinter down in N.W. Louisiana I had real good luck with either black or purple bucktails fished real slow around cypress trees and roots!
Big bass loved these but only if they were fished real slow.

Back in the 60`s I had a brother-in-law that assembled and painted these lures in Shreveport, Louisiana. Under right conditions they were deadly on bass!

Like a lot of folks early in this post, flatfish for ever. In the mid sixties i found my first one. A small 1" black and orange that killed everything that week. They have been my goto lure since. Using the bigger ones with two trebles on a belly wire, chrome with green stripes works best. Green is just a good color, frog, fish like. It just works. Bluegills, trout, bass, northerns, cant resist it.

1. Snagless Sally. Best spinnerbait ever made for shallow stump filled water. Have caught a dumptruck load of bass on them over the years.

2. Devil Horse. One of the 3 best top water plugs ever made and my personal favorite.

3. Old Original Mann's Jelly Worms. Bass pro just started selling them again. Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy.

4. Medium Sized Beetle Spin. Not sure whats in a new place you are fishing tie on a beetle spin. Bream hit them, white perch hit them, bass hit them. A white one with a red spot on it is killer for bass in the spring.

Topwater its one of the best ever lures i have ever used and BPS discontinued it,  its the Topnocker in color #25 the bass and pickerel always try to rip it off my line so i have lost many of them on the strike too.

1.  Discontinued BassProShops Topnocker #25 color-fished walk the dog, just snap pop it so it stays in the same spot.
2.  Manns baby 1 minus crankbait in crawdad brown- fished slow as a topwater bait or crank it deeper.
3.  Rapala orginal floating minnow in blue  #7 size-  just mimmic the bait fish by a slow crank or a jerk n pause.
4.  1/8oz white spinnerbait with a Mr. Twister "split double tail" trailer- a shot of yum and your good to go.

Bass Pro Shops discontinued my favorite lure the topnocker....... :'(

At one time all I thought anyone needed to catch bass in OK was a Model 11A Swimmin Minnow. Also liked the old River Devil with a frog pork rind. Throw in a Daisey Mae Spinner and a Mule aka L and S mirrowlure jointed popper and I was ready for anything! Seemed to be more simple then.
