I've used one Sig Pro 2340 for one magazine, a "borrowed to test" gun.  I've never been as disapointed with a gun/manufacturer that I can remember.  This pistol was so bad, I've never even given the Sig Pros's a second chance, if it's on the counter, I keep walking.  My flint pistol has a better trigger.  I sure hope I got a dud and yours is an excellent pistol.
Your opinions of yours??????

Maybe you got a "dud".Mine shoots very well. The only thing that is a little ruff on it is the trigger pull DA.Fairly heavy pull, then when cocked SA is much, much better.Does feel quite funny when goes from long DA to very short SA.A buddy of mine has a XD in .40 and I like mine much better.(He does too ;D)..................Rick

I love the 2340 in .40, very accurate but I expected nothing less from Sig. They are a lot cheaper than other Sig models when New, so they are a great alternative for those that dont want or cant afford 2 hand over close to a grand for a 226 or 229.

Ive never really heard anything negative about the Pros until today.

If it shoots well for you and youre comfortable with it, excellent. Thats all one can ask for right?

I wouldnt trust my life with anything other than a Sig. Someone could give me a pistol from any other maker and Id say No Thanks or take it and sell it to get more Sigs  ;D

If you  put a 226, 229 and 2340 on a table and priced them all at $500, Id take the 226 first with the 2340 coming in last, but that doesnt mean I dont love it. Its been on my hip almost 24/7 for the past 18 months since I got my CHL and I still cherish it as much as the day I bought it :)

I have 2 Sig Pros a 2340 and a 2022 I like them better than my p2229. and my S&W Sigma.
The 2340 is my favorite. It is very accurate and smooth. I bought it as a LE trade in so I have no idea of the round count but it is my carry gun . As one of the other guys said if I am going to put my life on the line  it will be  with a SIG.

I did a ton of research on the SigPro 2022 prior to purchase.  It came down to between the Sig P239 and the 2022.  I finally decided on the 2022 due to the price tag difference of more than $200, that and I like the rail.  I've only put 100 rounds through it thus far but it has performed flawlessy and is more accurate than I am capable of as of right now.

All my research showed that it is all Sig quality in a low affordable price.  Quite a few serious Sig nuts say the trigger is better than any standard Sig classic (P series) triggers save the 225 (or was it the 228?).

Either way, I would definitely say that you just found a dud.

I carried a SP2340 40 S&W on duty for 2 years. The only reason I switched was changed departments and now issued a Glock 22. Not condeming the Glock because it is a fine weapon, I perfered the SIG. I found it was more accurate and a better feel in my hand. I personlly own ad P220 and a P228. I found the PRO up to SIGARMS standards.
