a bolt vs a bolt II
« on: July 19, 2006, 10:08:48 AM »
What is the major difference between the two?  Is there an advantage with the a bolt II or that big of a disadvantage with the a bolt.  I'm looking at two different rifles, the caliber I really want is in the a bolt but the a bolt II would be a fine caliber as well.  Thanks.

I just traded for an A-boltII .243 ( Last years stock in a wearhouse) The 2006 models aren't listed in .243 win ). I didn't open the box untill I got home and it looked a little funny. The bbl seemed very long and the stock short.  The bbl is standard 22" the length of pull is the same as my other brownings. Mechannically I see no difference but this one is glass bedded and free floated at the factory. IN a word I think the foreend is shorter and the pistol grip is diferent than one I had a few years back.
