This goes for any controled round feed, but this in particular is about a ruger 77. With a controled round feed style extractor, should you be able to extract the case before fully seating it in the chamber? The reason i ask is my ruger does extract every time, so long as i put the bolt fully into batery. If i push the bolt only halfway forward and then extract, the rim of the cartridge is not tight engouh under the extractor and it falls out and lays on top of the magazine. I was under the impresion that since the rim of the case goes under the extractor as soon as it the round leaves the magazine, you should be able to extract at any point.
