places to fish? New York to Maine

i have a son who just moved into the finger lakes area of new york. am planning a 2 week trip up there and while there i aim to travel on up in to maine around acadia.

 any suggestions on on flyfishable public waters around the finger lakes or enroute from that area up into maine would be greatly appreciated.

 Mine is right close to me,the Middle Fork of the Holston River.
 I have only caught a couple of fish by flyfishing,but I enjoy it more than any other method.

The Salmon River.  Pulaski, New York.  Great steelhead, brown and salmon fishinG(sesaonal)
