Anyone familiar with the 450 Watts?
« on: June 29, 2006, 03:02:10 PM »
Anyone familiar with the 450 Watts?Supposedly it is a 375H&H case necked/ expanded out to 458,and claims to be faster than 458 Lott with same weight projectiles.
Thanks.

The Watts and Lott are same cartridge, aren't they? ???  I suspect the Watts data was produced without pressure testing and just loaded to higher pressures.

Pretty much the same thing as the 458Lott. The Lott was originally a 375H&H case opened up, which shortens when expanded giving it a case length of 2.8". The 450Watts was based on the basic magnum case giving it a case length of 2.85".
Cheers...
