9mm mak????
« on: June 14, 2006, 05:33:47 AM »
I been eyeing a Polish 64 makarov and a Czech CZ82 both in 9mm makarov. Right now i can only get one so which one should i get first?  I want one hangun in 9mm makarov for now.  I been thinking of the CZ82 Czech army pistol but i'm not sure if there is a size difference between them i have never seen them in person to hold them.  I know as these calibers go smaller so does the size of the grips too.  I figure the 9mm maks are the hot ticket right now.

Whats the best Makarov pistol?  Is it the russian or are they all pretty much the same?

We have so many choices in auto calibers like; 9mm luger (9x19), 9mm largo (9x23), 380acp (9x17) and  9mm mak (9x18) and some of these aren't getting any cheaper too.  Plus the wolf ammo is so cheap and affordable we can shoot without reloading too.(right now but that can change overnite)  The 32acp seems to another popular caliber too with the 32acp Zastava for around $100+.

I been looking at the CZ50 & CZ70 pistols too just browsing.....

Full Size
CZ82 or CZ83 10 round

Compact
East german Makarov 8 round
Bulgarian Makarov
Russian Makarov

Sub-compact
Hungarian PA-63 7 round
Polish P-64 6 round

The CZ is much better and a smoother action than the P-64.

I have the PA-63 and it is a very nice handgun for the price.
Some of the Mak ammo is pretty hot that is in the market now!
I got a couple boxes of White Box stuff from Russia and I only fired
14 rounds of it. I was worried about it damaging the gun.
The box is labled TCW AMMUNITION and it kicks every bit as hard in my PA-63 as
9 mm Parabellum does in my Glock.
