Now, before I get 10,000 replies questioning or disputing the above...
These are the results of my testing, with my gun, with my chronograph, with my hand, on a particular day, at a particular place.
If YOUR results were different and you used the same EVERYTHING I used, then let me know, otherwise, I do expect YOUR results to be different and I will not question them. OK?
Other info:
I had a local 'smith work on the trigger pull for me. After 1)changing the springs with a kit from a well-known vendor who did say it wouldn't work but we wouldn't listen, and 2)changing the springs to comparable S&W models, and 3)some minor polishing of the action, I am sad to report that, in DA shooting, a little over half the shots are misfires. The good news (?) is that he has ordered another set of springs he will tweak for me next week... 
Soon I will update other info on another project I'm working on... an 18.5mm that shoots 500 gr. rounds at about 2000 FPS... and kicks like two mules on PCP (not ideal for squirrel hunting).
