Backyard electric trap

Has anyone seen the new Do-All trap?  It will run off of a marine battery and is priced at just $499.99.  I doubt it will hold up at a club, but I wonder if it is worth the investment for shooting in my back yard.  It has a foot pedal for release so I could practice alone.

I just bought a do all trap at Walmart.it's not the model you speak of but the one I bought sems well made. I have the single trap that has the seat attached.

I have the Do-All model, and after lots of tinkering I got it to work.  Lots of discussion here:

I just orderd the Atlas Electronic Thrower  i cant whate to get it all let you guys know what i think about it.

I picked up one of the do all auto trap throwers.  For the amount of shooting that I enjoy doing, I feel that it is a good investment.  As for durability, i am not seeing any problems here.  I transport it to the range once of twice a week to shoot.   The foot petal is fine. I add an extension cord to it. (making it 50+ feet away)  My little girl goes to the range with me.  She is my "thrower" and "scorer" always great to hear from a three year old that you missed.  NOTE:  If you check the Natchez site they are currently going for $339 shipped.   Quite a bit better than the $499.   Think of all the clays you can throw for that....

I bought a Do All electric and have put thousands of birds through it and love it. In fact i wore out the rubber facing on the throwing arm. When I contacted Do All they sent me a whole new throwing arm at no charge. Great little thrower and Natchez has them for less than 350 with free shipping.

You might think about getting a Western handset trap.  These traps have a timeless design and a proud history throwing quality targets for over 60 years.  They're more durable than the personal traps on the market and throw a better target.  Most clubs have these stored in their sheds as they've replaced them with automatics. Now you can convert the Western handset to automatic with a conversion kit from Western Retro Products. They have two types available.  Simple bolt on design. Throws doubles or singles and can be set for straight-aways or full oscillation.  It's worth a look. www.traploader.com

I have seen those DOIT Alls for $340 with free shipping.  For that price I dont mind some tinkering...

We bought one of the Do-All Ariel Assault traps and got the wobble kit for it. It works great and we have had no issues with it. And have ran a bunch of birds out of it. If you set up a piece of plywood behind the thrower you can not see what angle the bird is coming out at. It will throw a bird every bit of 80 yards. That and the fact you can run 100ft extension cord off it to get more distance makes for some fun shooting. Thanks,Tim
