Our weeks topic is which rifle is better: The Marlin .41 magnum lever action, which is said to be better than the .44 Marlin due to its 25% more penetration, or the Ruger .44 magnum (semi-auto) rifle.

I guess just in general. No specifics given. Just that some guy clsimed his Marlin was better than my Ruger, despite the caliber difference. If you can elaborate on each rifle, that would be a tremendous help. Thanks.

Getting into an argument like that is a waste of breath.  If you prefer your gun who cares what some other guy thinks.  Shoot what you like, like what you shoot.
