used CZ 550 FS in 6.5 x55???
« on: May 15, 2006, 02:33:55 PM »
Having a used CZ550FS in 6.5x55 shipped to a local shop...  Is there anything I should look closely at on this particular rifle?  What kind of accuracy should I expect out of it?

CZ Question Response

My CZ 6.5X55 is one of the most accurate rifles I own.  It loves H-4350 powder.  On the down side I find it a little heavy.  When I heard about Winchester closing I ran out and got another 6'5X55.  It's a better fondling  rifle than the CZ.  Haven't shot it yet.  It will have to be very good to beat the CZ.  Let us know how you like your rifle after you've shot it.  Another thing, the CZ's trigger is a wonderful thing.

it will shoot beyond expects.  120 grns factory will be sub moa at 100 yds. milsurp 140 grns wont be that far behind, so if you handload, and you wanna shoot 140's you have to fish around some loads. they are light, they are handy, I have 4 cz's and wouldnt part with any. heres my 223 at 100 yds.
