As Savage folks know, the subject Stith Mount had its heyday in the 1950s. Stith probably made more mounts for the 1899/99 Savage than for any other rifle. What my interest is here is that over the years and in order fo fit Savages with scopes not requiring drill and tap work, I accumulated a great number of misc. Stith IYM parts. Some of these parts are for the 99, others run the range in terms of use for bolt action rifles, including a few 22s and others. In short, I don't know what parts I have. Though the majority are numbered, I have no data source available to check against.
I would very very grateful if someone could point me in the right direction towards obtaining such information.
