Which synthetic stock?
« on: May 10, 2006, 01:29:44 PM »
Hi everyone,

I have an older H&R bolt gun (a FN Mauser variant), that I'd like to restock with some form of synthetic stock. Which of the after market stocks is most likely to maximise the accuracy of my FN commercial action?

Thanks,

Bell Carlson, McMillan, or H-S Precision.  Don't waste your money on Butler Creek or Ramline. Hogue overmolded is ok if you get the full bed block one and make sure your barrell is free floating.  Just like anything else, you get what you pay for- For me, the Bell-Carlson are the least expensive  that I'd put on, if you can afford the McMillan or H-S Precision they are worth every penny if you're looking for accuracy and precision.
