Has to have an eye relief between 9 and 14"

Leupold and Burris make them.

I can't say enough good things about the leupold scout scope.  I have two of them one on a guide gun and the other is on a custom 9.3x62 scout.  Excellent scopes for the money.

I use the Leupold 2.5X IER.  Great scope IMO.  Cost around $250.

I know this is gonna sound like heresy to some, but I stuck a 2X BSA pistol scope on a Marlin 44, and I LOVE it.  Fast to acquire, especially with both eyes open, and I can still shoot groups and test loads with it if I'm patient.  I never heard much good about BSA scopes, but I'm convinced that the fixed power jobs are a good deal.  Mine has put up with about 2,500 medium-to-full power 44 mag loads, and hasn't moved a hair.  I have another on a Ruger Redhawk 44, and the story's the same.  I expected both of them to toss their guts after a hundred rounds or so, but that hasn't been the case.

And did I mention the price?  I got the first one for $40, the second one was on sale for $30.   It doesn't get any cheaper than that.  I like a little more magnification, but I do most of my shooting at 50 yards, and these work just fine.  If you want to shoot a lot at a longer distance, I'd snag a 4X and never look back.  My 35 Remington wears a 4X Simmons that I paid a hundred bucks for about six years ago, and it has also served me faithfully.  Sometimes you get MORE than your money's worth.  Thus far, I have.   8)

For an inexpensive scope, I put a Tasco 2X pistol scope on an NEF .30-06 and it served quite well.  I think I paid all of $30 for it including shipping.

You might also look at the Weaver pistol scopes; more than the low-end BSA, Tasco, Simmons etc. but not as much as the Burris or Leopold.  Made in Japan, not China the last time I checked.
