550 in .308 help ./

Been working on my 550 American in 308. Been slowly weeding down my 3 shot groupings to around 2 inches and occasionally a little bit less. There appears to be a random factor somewhere that I haven't yet pinpointed but in the meantime I need to correct two other problems that have reared their heads. One is that the safety is stuck in the fire position.Too move between safe and fire requires herculean finger strength. Something is messed up with the safety. To boot I am also getting randomly different types of ejections. Some shoot out forward, others straight out the side and others simply spit the cartridge out and around and it fall back into the chamber even being forceful. WHat are some quick fixes. Simply repair/ replace the two positon sfaety or get a new 3 way safety for the 550 marketed by EDLAPOURgunsmithing. 2)do I need a new ejector pin, spring etc or just drop off withg the smith. Now have found a reasonable one who does good repair/replace type work like this.
Any help with ideas on the problems and if there is a cheap relativley easy way to fix them that would take less than an 1/2 hour each? Trigger/safety is the one that I wlll have the smith do whatever I think should be done don't like to playaround with critical safety issues. Any ideas help or suggesions would be appreciated. Once I get this gun shooting and looking like I want I will provide pictures and targets to show where it came from and how it gotwherever it is. thanks.

On my 550 .243, I originally had issues with the stock touching the side of the barrel in which I had a gunsmith glass bed and open up the channel. I also had him adjust the creepy trigger. If I had to do over, I would have sent the gun back to CZ and let them worry about it since it came from the factory that way. I spent $200 for work that I shouldn't have had to spend. My suggestion is to send it back to CZ for warranty work.

I would start by taking it out of the stock and checking for function.
