Buckmark Target Rifle

Anyone have one of these? I read how great they were on another forum site and bought one. It is a BIG disappointment. It is very ammo sensitive. I found one type of ammo that it liked and plenty that it didn't.
The worst was CCI Mini-mags which usually shoot pretty good. I'm talking a 3" group at 100 feet. It did shoot Remington Goldens accurately enough to squirrel hunt with. The other disappointing thing is that every time I fire it, I get powder blow back on the left side of my face. I cleaned the barrel thoroughly with Sweets 7.62 before shooting. Anyone out there have any of these porblems?

That's weird. I have the Bull Barrel one and it shoots most ammo much better then that. I have even had good luck with the bulk packs from Wal-Mart. I shoot a 5 target swinging target. The targets are around 2 1/2 inchs. At 50 Yards, I rarely miss with a simple 2X scope on it. My Father and Brother each have one too and they seem to be pleased with theirs.
Maybe you have a dud? Have you had anyone (or Browning) check it over or shoot it? Now, I did take mine completely apart to clean all the grease out of it and that seemed to help my feeding problems I initially had. Sorry I can't be of more help. Good Luck.

I talked with my local gun dealer. (I do most of my gun business with him. I bought this one at Cabela's in Fort Worth because I had a gift certificate.) He was going to talk to his Browning rep and see what he had to say about the gun. If that falls through, I may call Browning myself.

I bought one new a few years ago with the carbon barrel. It shot terrible and I paid $500 for it. I tried several kinds of ammo and finally gave up. I sold and bought another ruger. I was surprised. I own a buckmark pistol that is super accurate.

The Buckmark rifle is gone! I took it to my local dealer and traded it on a like new Kimber CDP-II.
