Opinion of Kimber rifle in 30 06

Contemplating a Kimber in 3006, want something better than the run of the mill.
I've had no experience with Kimber, but they sure sound good on paper.
Has anyone got experience good or bad with Kimber Rifles?
Are they worth the extra money?

Kimbers are definitely worth the difference in price for me. I have two, a model 84 Montana in 7-08 and a 270 WSM in the 8400 Classic. The 30-06 is new for this year. I want a 25-06 Montana but the delivery date is July. Buy the Kimber and enjoy the gun. It will not disappoint you on the range or in the field.

I have three Kimber rifles now. An 8400 Classic in 270WSM and an 8400 Classic Select in 300WSM that both have Zeiss scopes and both will group about 3/4" or better and an 84M Varmint that will shoot 1/2' holes with just about every load I have tried. They all have a custom shop "feel" to them and the wood on all of mine is really nice.

Perception is everything. For instance, a crowded elevator smells different to a midget.
