Finally handled a S&W M&P auto
« on: April 23, 2006, 01:23:50 PM »
Came across one at a gun shop today. Thinking about buying it. I think it is the best feeling polymer frame pistol I have ever handled. I liked the size, angle, and distance to the trigger of the grip. I also liked how low the pistol sits in the hand. The trigger pull for this type of gun is very good, very shootable. The fit and finish looked good. The barrel and slide locked up tight - no vertical movement. Just alittle side to side movement of the slide on the frame, but good for these types of pistols. So, I'm thinking about buying it. Anyone have one? What do you think of it?

I personally have no experience with them and prefer S&W's third generation autoloaders -- which S&W seems to be fading out in favor of the M&P and 1911's.

However, I heard very good things about the M&P.
