Does the 39 mm Soviet case necked down to 6.5 mm have a name?

Depends on what else if anything is done to the case? There is a 6.5x39, but largely more popular will be the 6.5PPC.

I must be real tired.
I was thinking a 39 mm DIAMETER round as in cannon cartridge necked down to hold 6.5 mm bullets!

lets see one and a half pounds of H870 and a 150 grain spitzer boattail at 50000 fps.... will that kill a white-tail at 3000 yards?

That reminds me of those .50BMG cases you see from time to time necked down the .17 cal.

I just got a norinco JW-103 in 7.62x39 and the way the mag works it could handle any 39 soviet wildcat if the OAL is kept the same.
