I aquired a Taurus M17, 5 inch barrel, no high sight rib to attach a mount, 8 shot 17 HMR in a trade. Have not shot it yet but it is on a small frame like a J frame Smith. It would look funny to scope it because of the small size but it looks like a scope mount is not made for this model anyway. Is no Smith and Wesson but it sure has a nice bluing job on it.
