What is wrong with these people?

Do they really think we don't notice their incompetence?

Last night I loogged onto a NEW WEB PAGE, as in "updated new-for-2006" webpage!

Is it there this afternoon?  Heck no!

So what gives!!?



What caught my attention last night is that new-for-2006 are supposed to be several new rifle/shotgun combos, but even some 3-barrel combos! Which is why I logged onto the site this afternoon.

So what did I find?  The "2005" webpage that was and still is badly out of date!  Are the new '2006 combo's listed?  Nope!

So since I wanted to try to ascertain the price of the 3-barrel combo (included is a CF full-size rifle cart, 12 or 20 gauge Pardner barrel AND .22 LR RIMFIRE BARREL!).

How do I find the price I'm looking for?  Or even the info that was shared last night?

The new '2006 webpage actually looked very nice and was full of good info, easy to navigate.

The 3-bbl combo I'm interested in includes the .30/06, 12 gauge, .22 LR.

Besides looking for the price, was also interested what 3-bbl YOUTH COMBOS are to be offered.

Does anyone know anything "tangible?"  I know I saw what I saw, because I was also looking on RimfireCentral's site, D.S Arms's site, 24-Hour Campfire and others.

Anyone know anything?  Thanks.   :wink:

They have never had firearms prices on their web site, best place to find prices is at Walmart, link is in the FAQ and help sticky.

Looks updated to me!! Refresh your screen when you go there, your browser may be loading a cached copy instead of the actual page, depending on your browser settings. I just did this screen shot....

But like CoyoteHunter and DPriinks, I couldn't get the 'default' link to come up either.

However, if one clicks on Quick's thumbnail (Ishould have originally said), the link to the new 3-bbl combo's can be seen.   :D

Guys if you think NEF, or MARLIN, or whoever's website is bad, you should see the new payroll software they rolled out monday at the place where I work.

And they paid MILLIONS for it.

You can see how NEF/H&R rate as far as Marlin is concerned, the Marlin web site has been updated for a couple months now, they're just now working on the NEF/H&R site. :(

It might not be H&R's fault.  Some ISP's cache web pages to reduce bandwidth usage.  If the cache has an old page, that's what you'll get for awhile.  Try refreshing a few times and see what happens.

If you are using IE (maybe other I don't know) but hold the shift key down then hit refresh (forces a real refresh), you could be messing up with local cache as well

I don't think so, the new web site has different URLs than the old web site which comes up fine. The links I posted above are the new URLs.

Just out of curiousity, which package did you guys get?  We're using Bi-Tech's IFAS package for Payroll (and half of our other functions).  It too costed a fortune.  The interface is terrible, though I'll admit that the actual functioning of the software works pretty solidly.

First off your topic header really isn't fair to all the good dedicated people at NEF...

Furthermore.....why call the good folks at NEF Idiots anyway?..If you want to gripe about their web site..call the 800 number and ask to be transfered over to management in the Customer Relations department...it's totally rude and quite childish of you to post this here in this manner...You have no idea of what is going on in their IS department(or if their's even manages the web site) nor what problems they are incurring at this time...while your on the phone..try asking the good people there if they have any information about the combo's you wanting info on...but...be advised..if someone was calling me a idiot..I probably would be hesitant to be helpfull to this person...Also...since many folks that work for NEF and their family members also read this forum......well...enough said...

The folks at Marlin and NEF are hard working people, same as most of us.  You guys know how computers are.  Nothing ever works right the first time.  

I went to load a piece of software on my machine the other day.  The instructions said it should take about 45 minutes.  Six and a half hours later I was still hacking away at it.  Then all of the sudden it went.  I have no idea what I did in order to get it to go nor do I think I could do it again.  It doesn't matter at this point as its working like its supposed to.

I blew up at the folks at NEF and Marlin not too long ago.  I found out later it was my fault.  Rather than rub my face in it they said that it was okay and they wouldn't hold it against me.  They graciously let me off the hook.   You'll never hear me say anything bad about Marlin or NEF again.  These are good people with the same kinds of day to day problems we all face.

Wonder how they are getting around the center fire/rim fire issue on the same frames for the new 3 barrel combos? They must be boring the rimfires off center or does this new frame have a selector like the Encore? There are quite a few combinations, does anyone know for sure?

I know the versa-pack has both center fire and rim fire, but the rim fire barrel is bored off center. I really dont think they are going to do that for all the new combos, but you never know.

holy smokes, I just looked at the new site and seen the price of a new 223 ultra bull barrel for $56.  the old price was over $100.  If it wasn't the beginning of summer I would be sending in for that one.  But I dont want to go 4-6 weeks without any of em.
