i grew up in a small town in eastern oregon (375 people), mostly country folk and some city folk that just wanted to play cowboy for awhile. about 8 to 10 years ago the local paper ran an articule about peoples cows being mutilated. i guess there udders and eyeballs were removed, and i guess there female insides were removed and some other stuff, but not the meat of the cow. anyway i guess there was very little blood on the ground or no blood. the newspaper said it was probley coyotes, but there was alot of talk about it being aliens or devil worshippers and a bunch of other stuff. anything like this ever happen with coyotes where you live...it all seems fishy to me.

I have seen a few dead cows over the years in Indiana where I am from. It always seemed funny to me that they would always just die in the middle of a field. They was always real stiff with their legs sticking straight out. I never stopped and took a close look at them but now days I wish I would have.

None of my family ever had any die that I know of like that. I know when I was a kid we had over a 100 cows and the only ones that ever died are the ones we sent to the slaughter house.
Maybe we was just lucky that none ever died I do not know. But it sure seems to me that every time I seen a dead one it was always out in the open like that.

Several years ago here in NE Oklahoma there were reports of mutilations. I personally never saw anything, but the stories involved cattle as well as dogs and cats. The mutilations were supposed to be very surgical.

The closest I came was a second hand story about some local coaches that came across a dog that had been sliced open while they were hunting either quail or rabbits right after daylight. The dog was still alive, so they figured it had happened just the previous night in the early AM.

There were supposed to be some folks into devil worship around the county at that time, and the blame for mutilations was pointed in their direction.

Coyotes do seem to start at the back end and eat the the guts and soft tissue first, but they certainly aren't very surgical about it.
Hey, hold my beer and watch this.

i talked to my grandpa and he was sayin that these looked like surgical incisions but he said they looked like someone took the time to cauterize them as they went along....

i saw a show on discovery where they studied this and decided it was the work of flies and bugs...they sucked the blood as they went along and it looked cauterized, even to the vet they took it to.

the bugs ate only certain things and they seemed to go in some semblance of order, sexual organs, mucus membranes, etc...

when they finally called a stop to the project it really did look just like the animals people find "mutilated" or blame on the Chupacabra.

After a rash of "cattle mutilations" in the '70s an arkansas sherrifs department did an experiment. They killed a cow in the middle of a field and had the deputies take turns watching it for a few days. After a couple of days it looked JUST LIKE a classic mutilation. Turns out maggots leave the "surgical or cauterized" wounds. Saw a special on it on national geographic channel.

I'd like to see that report?  I grew up on a large ranch and I've been around ALOT of critters that have been dead for various periods of time..... I don't recall EVER seeing anything look like some of the photos that are supposed to be mutilations...... are they claiming that all those Ranchers don't realize what a decomposing critter looks like????  I'd really like to see this report? :?

IMHO cattle mutilations are only predators and vermon eating on a dead carcass.Birds and yotes and possuims, skunks and buzzards and a number or small critters feed on the dead cattle. What killed the cow in the first place?Who knows but i can tell you about some so called cattle mutilations that happend here about 30 years ago.
My uncle had a farm located about 7 miles from the farm he lived on.Every summer the neighbors cows were eating his soybean crop on this farm.My uncle would keep his part of the fence in repair but the neighbor whos cows keep getting out did not. This went on for 3 or 4 years. One day my uncle and his boy chased the cows out of their bean field back on the neighbors property and shot every single one of them dead.Had enough i would guess.
When the cattle were found in the woods with their eyes pecked out and there parts missing from the local vermon the cattle mutilations were what the story was.It was investagated by the sheriff but nothing ever happened.

I think you're right about some cases...... others I think are linked to cults and sicko's..... not ufo's

As far as your Uncles problem.... well the proper and legal way to take care of such situations is to fix the fence and bill your neighbor for the cost..... not the best thing to do to start a range war.  Where I grew up he likely would have been jumped and had the 'stuffing' beat out of him......

many unexplained things going on in our world..but there is an explanation for a lot also.
I do a lot of coyote hunting and get to areas calling those filthycoyotes that a lot of folks do not get to.But then I am in areas where a lot of folks get to..
Normally shin them on strong fence post and leave them there hanging the ranchers don't mind and it lets them know that he HAD a problem with the coyotes..then the fur prices dropped.and the bounty was worth more for a coyote scalp then a hide.sooo. we would scalp them and leave them where they fell.the game bioligist that was in charge of several million acres of goverment property (he and I are friends)called me in one day and said I am getting more and more calls about satanic animal deaths and animal mutalation ..please try and hide the coyotes so people can not see them.they seem to think we have a group of devil worshipers out here and a bunch of alliens mutalating the coyotes..he he he..well I hide them better now.
if you have seen the documentr on the chupa cabra.where scientist did studys here in the US and abroad.it speaks alot about what bugs can do to a carcas in short order.the 1st things that are eaten are the soft things.eyes brain ect.and are done with surgical presions.and kinda disproved the chupa cabra..and started a riot by there finding now they tell the phesent yea they are every where,he he he,,I still believe in the creature I think its cool.when out in the bush and some ones says what was that..I speak up quick and say THE CHUPA CABRA..he he he..
my huntin rifle is safe from confiscation only while my battle rifle protects it.
