Difference in scope rings
« on: March 24, 2006, 03:23:56 AM »
I put a set of Warne High rings on my 527 Varmit, and the scope will not adjust down low enough to zero. The scope is a 6X24X44 Tasco and the rifle is a varmit 204.I put .010 shim stock under the rear mount and I think it will work now,but is there a difference in the height of the front and rear rings?
It was shooting about 3/4" low at 60 yds.so I shot some groups with the Sierra 32 gr.and 30 grs. of BLc 2 and the 2 groups avg. .106" at 60 yds.I think its going to shoot 1/4" groups or less at 100 yds,and should make a  good P.D. gun.   Digger

I'm having the same problem but on my rem 7400, I've never used the Warne rings on my 527 I use the Burris no problems yet.
