Picked up a 6.5" 41 Mag Raging Bull today. Grip fits my hand great as is, I usually prefer barrels around 5", but this 6.5" feels really good.
Anyone know a good factory round for this gun, or should I go straight to reloads.
Thanks, Mike

I haven't tried too many factory rounds out of my 6.5" Blackhawk, other than Winchester's Platinum Tips(great round by the way), and some Remington 210gr Lead bullets(light recoiling practice stuff). I got the .41 to be a bit different, and to have a round almost as powerful as a .44, with less recoil. Problem I see with this round is that it costs ALOT to shoot if you stick with factory fodder. I've seen it anywhere from $25 ish for 50 PMC rounds to $40 for some other rounds. Yes I do believe that you would be better off reload for it, if you want to shoot it a fair amount. I did the math for my reloads, and it was right around $12 dollars for full power loads with GDHP bullets(50), or about $2.50 for 50 cast rounds (bullets made with wheel weights out of a lee mold)...significant cost savings. Hope this helps.
