Arrow-Heads and other Native American finds...
« on: March 10, 2006, 05:28:38 AM »
While I was growing up in East Texas we (little Bro & I) were fortunate enough to have located a bunch of arrow heads and indian pottery shards on our farm in eastern Leon County.  Most of them were found near Alabama Crossing on the Trinity River.

Here are the arrow heads I found over the years 1968ish thru 1981ish.  Lets see some of yours :-)  I think the tribes around there were the Alabama Coushatta, Caddo, and some fierce Karankawa (Karanks).

Take Care
Ben

Heres some pics of some pieces I removed from a big Buff jump on my cousins ranch last summer,I have plenty more, even some my great grandfather collected years ago but they are in a box in the basement and Im not that eneergetic..

these are some horn caps, points, scrapers and a big stone axe head I dug out last summer, there is about 12 feet of debris mixed in with layers of clay and dirt, the lower you go the older the pieces get,the white points are VERY old,you can tell by how undeveloped the style and material used are.
If it aint fair chase its FOUL,and illegal in my state!
