Model 94 hammer

My Model 94 shoots great, but the hammer will just about wear a hole in your thumb if you shoot a box of ammo single action.  Is there any remedy other than wearing a glove?

You could knock the sharp points down with a file...
The early bird get's the worm, but the second mouse get's the cheese.....

I might try a stone rather than a file.  I also was told to try slipping heat shrink tubing over the hammer and shrink it.

Heat shrink tubing is a great idea. Its temporary and does no damage.
