Hi I was wondering if anyone could tell me what a savage model 340C bolt action, 30-30 caliber might be worth in exellent shape with stock v-block sights and a couple of extra magazines. I was thinking of buying it for my 12 year old daughter as a first deer rifle. Thanks much John

jats4426:  The blue book on that rifle in 100% $235 and then you add a few extra $$ for the extra clips, I have always liked the little rifle I thought it was a great little rifle to start a child with, good luck on your purchase.  By the way mfg. 1952-1960 :D   JIM

The thing I like about this rifle is being able to use spitzer type bullets in it.  My only question is what kind of hunting do you do and the type of terrain is it?  Lawdog
