Richards micro-fit stock on M77MKII
« on: February 28, 2006, 04:18:06 AM »
I'm wanting to order a dual grip thumbhole style stock from richards. It's kind of a monte carlo with a thumb hole. My question is, my MKII has a lip on the end of the stock for some barrel pressure. I'm wondering if the new richards stock with out this will be a factor. May-be these stocks are made with the front pressure forearm when inletted for the M77 MKII. I guess I would need to ask them. I've also read from some who have free floated these same guns with good results. Any experence with these stocks or free floating the barrel on a M77 MKII? Thanks...
This stock is a Richards micro-fit laminate..

I bought the exact same stock and istalled it on the exact same rifle a few years back. Bacically the barrel channel comes undersized so you can inlet the stock for your particular barrel contour.

Richard's drop in stocks are sold as 98% inletted. The rest you get to fit yourself.
