I have a savage F-110. It seems to like the heavier bullets (over 55 gr all the way up to 72 (now they have 77's but I haven't found any locally). It is a one in nine twist rate which is relatively fast. I beleive this is why it "likes" the heavier projectiles.
Does anyone else have similar experiences with the 223?
I thought the 77 gr might be optimal out of the savage for deer hunting here in CA.
