Tikka T3 Varmint?

I just ordered the subject rifle in 22-250. With the supplied rings, it will only accept objectives up to 40mm with the heavy barrel. I have a 6.5-21x50 Zeiss Conquest to mount on it.  I'm familiar with who makes rings for the slotted receiver, but not sure what height to order in a given make. Anybody got experience with this rifle and 50mm obj. scopes???

Call Warne Mounts there on the net or Brownells a store also on the net.  Warne makes mounts for Tikkas, very strong and slightly costly.  They will last for as long as you own the gun and longer.  Call Brownells first.

I have a T3 Varmint in .223 with a Nikon 6.5x20x44mm.  I bought Leupold std mounts and rings at Bass Pro.  They have several different ring heights so I'm sure you can get rings to mount your 50mm.  Buy the way, it's a nice gun.  Enjoy.
