30-06.  I thought about getting some trendy new caliber, but then said nah, get the tried and true.

I get it out of state induced coma  next friday.  so I will let you all know

I look forward to hearing your report. Try a few different brands of ammo when you go. Pick up a box or 2 of Hornady Light Mags and Federal Fusions. These should do very well for ya :toast:

I like that tikka, I think my next gun will be the hunter. The stevens is nice , but its no tikka. the price is great though, as well as great accuracy. I would bet that they both will shoot great right out of the box But if money is a concern,
(cheaper gun=better scope).....
but
(cheaper gun (~=)loss of accuracy)
