well, they are now made in texas.don't know that they were evermade any place else.and nothing wrong with being made in texas.
as for what I do not like about the knives.
1st the stag handles were on the knives when the blades were ground.along the bottom of the handles you can see where the hot sparks and slag burnt into the handles then half as- polished out.not exceptable..the the edge of the blades..one side a differnt angle then the other.unexceptable.on the triple set,I guess they were in a hurry for christma salesnd the case arrived sliced were the skinner went.then the diamond sharpening steeles that came with the sets.they recieved the wrong steels but sent them out any way with a note to write them for the correct one.I e-mailed them with my complaints.sent the case back and it took for ever to get a replacement.and I believe that all the handles are so differnt that they really need the knives to make the case and have them fit properly.
I took the knive to a friend that is a custom knfe builder and he took care of the blades edges.
KOA wants me to send them back so they can look at them and replace them.I told them no.for the price I found out what my wife and dad paid for them.I want to show folks that come in to my shop what they getfor their hard earned cash.
Now I do like the knives, and will use them.but for there cost.they should have paid more attention to detail in the crafting of the knives.
and if I get drawn for every thing I put in for this year.I will be back to tell you how they preform in the field.from antelope to oryx and elk.and maybe a filthy coyote..
