Author Topic: UFO sighting while out hunting (Read 1696 times)

Well I guess I'll go ahead and share this story with you all.......... I referred to it in another post tonight so I should explain myself.....

Back in the fall of 1981 (I believe?) I took a group of my friends from college with me to hunt pheasants on my Parents Ranch up in Lyman County So.Dakota. We did this annually during college and for a few years after graduating.....

But back on topic....

...... during the hunt we were walking a series of shelter belts (my father was nuts for wind breaks and planted over 80 miles of trees!) we happened to be working out a very large belt which had a couple of connecting belts..... a friend of mine from college, an Attorney from Ft. Pierre and myself where working one of these small belts into the main belt and trying to gauge it so we would flow right in with the guys walking up the main shelter belt. The Attorney was outside the belt a few feet and slightly ahead of my buddy and I (we were hustling back and forth in order to work out the 12 rows of trees) to block the birds from escaping into the weeds.

Anyway..... my friend and I suddenly became aware of a low whining noise that was coming from behind us.......... we both looked at each other and then looked up "WHAT THE @#, IS THAT" we both yelled!!! Above us moving very slowly was a black craft which was shaped like Batman's boomerang..... only it was flying backwards of what you would expect..... all the little points faced forward and the curved side faced back...... we watched it fly over us and out ahead of us..... then it started to drop STRAIGHT DOWN.... I thought the world was ending!!! I took off running towards it as fast as I could cutting in front of all my buddies (and really upsetting them) trying to get to the other side of the shelter belt in order to see the UFO again..... of course when I got to the other side it was no where to be seen.....

My buddy and the Attorney watched it disappear and said they never saw it pull out of the dive!! Actually the Attorney had seen the UFO before either of us and watched it come up from behind us..... he was too shocked to even yell out to us!! He said as it approached us it was shimmering back and forth and had just straighten up before we both looked upwards....

I have no idea as to what this thing was??? But where I grew up the Air Force regularly made runs with fighters and attack aircraft..... this however was no NORMAL FIGHTER.... and it was not the shape of a stealth fighter or bomber..... and what kind of aircraft can move 'sideways' rapidly?

Wow ! a daylight sighting.It sounds like the one stealth bomber we have but it cant go slow,up and down or backwards.Maybe our govt. isnt telling us all the features it has.
Reminds me of my own encounter,sorta.About 6 yrs ago a bunch of us were in upstate Maine on a guided bear hunt.The guide had picked us all up in his suburban and we were driving the deserted logging roads back to base camp.We crested this one large hill and in the distance on the horizon i see about 8 white lights in the air spaced equally apart and covering a estimated distance of a 1/4 to 1/2 a mile.Nobody says anything to each other ,me figuring the locals knew what this was,only problem is were 30 miles of so from any town.Well,next day i see the young guides whispering to each other behind the bosses back and i inquire about the secrecy.They ask me"did you see anything weird last nite coming home"? And i replied sure,lights in the distance from a football field or park.To that they shook their head no.They had been hunting here for years ,had never seen the lights and there is no park.
To make a long story short and also a let down.They sat and figured it out.There is a shipyard on the coast over 30 miles away and since its so flat out there ,the conditions must have been perfect where we were on a clear night to see the lights in the distance so far away.Moral of the story ? Dont call home and tell family you saw a UFO while hunting 650 miles away till you think it through.

I was not like any of the stealth planes that I have ever seen.... it didn't move up & down and backwards...... it was move side to side.......

I know daylight sightings are uncommon but I know what I saw.... I just don't know what it was..........

Did it look like the B2 stealth bomber? It has that boomerang shape.

Back in 1967 my parent divorced and mom remarried this jerk and they decided to travel the country by car on their way from NY to Washington state.Dad raised us..thank God,and dad.Anyways,i got this postcard from mom,i was about 10 yrs old.She said she saw something fantastic and would only tell us in person when she came back home.To make a long story short-mom and then new hubby were traveling by car across state somewhere in iowa or idaho,she cant remember today.Well,it was late,not a sole on the road,her husband was looking for a motel when from behind them the saw bright headlights.Her husband was cursing because this guy had his brites on and was getting close to them real quick,out of nowhere.
When this "car" got behind them,it disappeared,then the car engine stalled and they rolled to a stop.Next,the car and road was lit up all around them from overhead.They both either looked out of their windows above or got out of car,not sure.There was a hugh ,round Craft with multi-colored lights hovering abouve them about as high as a two story house.It was there for a few moments then it shot off out in front of them and literally disappeared into the night sky.There wasnt any engine noise associated with this sighting.Neither of them talk about it.He never does and mom only a little cause we pick on her.

I recall seeing an aircraft of that shape that does fly as you describe from some TV show I've seen. It was actual footage of the craft flying and they told what it was but I have no clue at this time what it is or who makes it. But there is such a craft. now I dunno about no side to side flight tho. It was some kinda experimental plane as I recall but that's about all the details I can remember.

I've seen a fair number of for lack of a better name "objects" in the sky most of which were flying. I wasn't able to positively identify them so I place them into the "unidentified flying object" or UFO class. I don't honestly think any of them were of extraterrestial origin but for sure I do not know what any of them actually were.

And yeah I do believe there are most likely other planets with intelligent life and suspect earth has been visited by some of them at some point in time and might even still be getting visits. To me it makes more sense there would be other intelligent life in the universe than that there wouldn't be. But I haven't personally seen any evidence of proof.

We will probably learn more stuff comming out of russia right now about the encounters they have had with UFO's rather than the US releasing info that they have had for many years covered up. Time will tell. The real story about Roswell is just getting to the surface now. It did happen and was covered up. But were are the aliens that were alive that we captured?
Someone leaked about the technology we have from them too were trying to figure it out. He seen it then they covered it up along with his story too. :eek:

I was looking for info on the crystal skulls and found out about info on civilizations that live below us on the earth? interesting? These are suppose to be people who are smarter than us who went under ground to live. They say there is a few places were the earth can be entered into this under ground area too. They think the ufo's come from this area too. Its been mentioned by many civilizations before us too for eons. I don't know but i think we have been here before and have completely destroyed ourselves over and over again. Thus creating lost civilizations. Look at the device we found that tells the planets locations while they think its from Greece i think it tells the planets locations so they can be traveled to at a certain time. Why else would you make an complicated instrument using gears?

I agree with you, don't neccessarily believe it's an 'alien' craft but it sure could do some 'odd' flying........ :eek: :eek: :eek:

As far as Roswell............ well I can tell another story on that one...... my Uncle was a guard at Los Alamos from the beginning of the Manhattan project up until he retired in the 1980's. He was deployed to Roswell and was involved in guarding what ever it was that they recovered. I assume that the reason the guards from Los Alamos were used was because of their high level of security clearance...... anyways my Father remembers my Uncle calling him when he returned home and mentioning that he had seen some incredible things that he could never tell him about..... to this day Elton will not talk about it other than to answer yes that he was there.... other than that he just says 'I can't talk about that'.....

My Uncle has seen some amazing things in his life he was involved in the first nuclear test and many others..... served in World War II as a Naval MP until being selected to Guard the "Bomb Plant" in Los Alamos......

Last fall I was coming home from a BBQ at my Sisters house in Jackson....I turned off parma rd onto Erie rd......a couple miles down erie rd I saw a bright object in the sky....it was not moving.....as I got closer to it I was looking for a place to pull over...so I could get out and get a better look at it....my mother who was with me....was kinda scared and did not want me to stop and check it out.....but my curiosity got the better of me....I finally pulled into a driveway......and got out of the jeep....the thing would dart from one place to another in the blink of an eye....it had strobing lights....it glowed a kind of amber color....it made no sound...It was not very high up.....it went toward Jackson. MI.

Hmmmm,interesting....
I have not really told many folks about this.and the ones I have told have nothing but a blank stare about it.
In arizona in 1975 (summer) in the high moutains around Ft.Huachuca,I had taken my jeep off road to the top of this very high mt.the top was down and I was sittin in the jeep looking into space it was so dark a you could see more stars then I had really ever seen.and being closer to space then I normally had been(raised at sea level)thought this was pretty cool.But all of a sudden me and an other person saw this object off in the distance moving at a very high speed crossing the sky or was it in space?don't know.it stopped on a dime and just hooverd there for what seemed to be an eternity.then shot straight up into space,sent shiver up and down me spine.we just looked at each other and said did ya see that?what the heck was it?I am sure we (the U.S.) did not have any thing that could do that at the time.I now work at a place that would agree with that staement.

How close was You to the ufo?
Could you see details of the craft?
Daylight sighting like Yours...is a rarer thing than I think You figger!

Well as far as being abducted, there were over twenty of us out hunting so I don't think that happened...

All I could see was that it was pitch black in color of course it was quite high above us........... If I were to hold a ruler over my head at full arms length it would have been about 1/2 inch long........ how high was it.... I don't know since I don't have any idea how big it really was..... :shock:

Now that you mention it, it looks sort of like the "flying flapjack":

Although I seem to recall from the TV show I watched that the prototype crashed. I can't remember ever seeing it at the Smithsonian and I've even been to the Garber facility where they keep stuff not on display and do restorations. I'd think I'd remember something that looks like that but I can't say I saw everything at the facility.
