I shot a Cinnamon teal a couple of weeks ago.  Never even seen one before until then.

Anyone else shoot anything different for them this season?

Specklebelly,
Nobody must not harvested anything new or rare this year. I know our harvest was the usual mallards, woodies, ring necks, and canada geese.

I killed 7 (flying) snow geese out of one bunch.  I've never done that before.  I also guided a hunt where we killed several red heads which are pretty unusual around here.

That is pretty awesome.  Glad they were not Canada's or you may have some problems.

In the mid 80's I once shot four teal in one shot.  No one believes me but it honest to goodness happened.

How far were the geese?

I drove by a place we have access to that didn't have any ducks this year (No feed).  From the road I could see that a couple of thousand snow geese were using the upper end of it and I thought I could sneak it.  When I got within about 50 yards they got up and I thought they had seen me.  I rolled over on my back and the whole group swarmed over the top of me.  They were from 20-50 yards high and everywhere.  Each time I shot stuff just fell around me.  Turns out they hadn't seen me but the farmer had driven by and spooked them over me.  I also lost at least 2, and probably more.
