Remington Files Bankruptcy

NOT!
It would be a great loss to firearms enthusiasts in the U.S. if any of the 3 remaining major firearms manufacturers sold to foreign interests or closed their doors.  IMHO
I see Savage, Ruger, and Remington as just another layer of defense against those wishing to erode our gunbearing heritage.
I see little value in wantonly bashing our U.S. mfrs. without direct firsthand experience.  To me, the bolt action rifle selection from the big 3 has never been better and you can get a lot of bang for your buck.
Whether you spend $350 or $800 I think it likely that you will get an accurate, dependable rifle that functions perfectly right out of the box.
I buy Remingtons usually because the products they offer are to my liking and for me they are the best value. My neighbor may feel the same about a Savage or Ruger. There is no right or wrong of course, just an individual preference.
Generalisations like Savages are cheap junk, Remingtons need $200 worth of extra work, and Rugers are innaccurate serve little porpose except maybe to make one feel he's in the right camp.
YOUR MILEAGE MAY VARY...........KD
