Inverted Crown?
« on: December 26, 2005, 03:41:25 AM »
I am trying to determine the benefits of an inverted crown on a Model 83.  Any information would be appreciated but I would especially like to hear from Bob Baker or Bill on this one.  Thanks to all!

Inverted Crown?

The inverted crown seats the rifling farther away from the end of the barrel. This helps prevent accidental crown damage. It’s not uncommon to find custom guns with good deep crowns rather they refer to them as inverted or not. Some people may or may not think it’s worth the money but I personally like the inverted crown.

Take Care,
Scott
