Finally got out on the range with the new gun today. My buddy who shoots an Optima and I were both impressed with this Sidekick. Within 4 shots I was on the bullseye at 50 yds. and was getting less than 2" groups at 75 yds. That is plenty good for where we will be on the opening day of our Ohio ML season. Its set up with Nikon Prostaff 2-7X32 scope, and I shot PB HP 295s with 2 Pyrodex pellets of 50.

I have a question about the hammer extender. Bought one at Cabelas, and it seemed to be on tight but loosened with the shooting practise. How deep should the hammer go into the extender, and do you use something like Locktite to lock the set screw in place?

The ones from the factory has locktite on them and they should go all the way into the hammer with a tade of hammer sticking out the other end.

Tap on the allen wrench with a hammer when tightening that will keep it from working loose

When I position the extender on the hammer, the hammer itself does not seat securely inside the extender. There is definitely no part of hammer that comes up through the extender if that makes sense.

Wondering if I should work on the extender itself so that the hammer fits more securely inside it before tightening with the setscrew?
