I live in the north central part of the state of North Carolina, close to the Virginia border.  Stuart, Va., Martinsburg, Va., and Eden, NC. are cities close by.  I would like to get in contact with any cannoneers in this area who actively shoot their cannons.  I'm tired of shooting by myself and would like to shoot with some like-minded indivduals like myself that enjoy going out and making a little noise.

madtrees - WELCOME to the board!

I used to stop for a meal Stuart (usually the Mayo River Seafood restaurant) coming back from drill in Martinsville years ago.

I think we can shake the trees and get some interest!

Many thanks to all who replied!

To powder keg in Idaho:  Wish you were here?  Damn, I wish I was out there.  You have a heck of a lot more space to play in than I do.  Thanks for the reply.

To Kapullen in Frederick, Md.:  Sorry for the typo.  I meant Martinsville, not Martinsburg, Va.  Mind fart on my part.  You are more than a couple of hours away, but if you get down to the sourthern end of Va. let me know!

To Cat Whisperer:  Pulaski is definitely in range.  More importantly, since you are a moderator of this forum, I must assume you are experienced in the fine art of cannoneering, and therefore you have some knowledge which you might be willing to impart to a novice.  Please let me know how to get in tough with you, or what you need to know to get in touch with me.

Good shooting to all of you!  Stay safe.

Madtrees -

Check your personal messages (PM).

We can certainly get together sometime to shoot.  You'll find that there are a LOT of other folks that are much better than I in the 'finer art' of cannoneering.  I just like to shoot, and feel very comfortable in the role of facilitating the interaction of others in the subject (from which I get great pleasure and learning).

As there are MANY others that get into it more than I (as those that participate in AAA and N-SSA) and there are much more accomplished folks in machining and casting.  Again, folks from whom I learn.
