Waterfowl Reports

How about some waterfowl reports? My last 4 goose hunts have resulted in harvesting 2, 2, 1, and 0. I think Specklebelly and SX2 must be harvesting all the waterfowl as they have been really silent lately.

Hey Bill,
Haven't been too good here. I was excited about the big thaw then ended up with the crud for the last 10 days or so, been sick as heck.

My buddy has a few black feet that fly near his property. He'd like me to come shoot a couple. I just have to stop coughing long enough.

hope Speck's doing better

SX2,
Hope you get to feeling better and can get out after the geese. At the rate it is going, I don't think we are going to have a very long season. Central zone has reached half of it's quota already and I think we harvested 5000 last week. If it continues, we could be closed by January 1.

Just remember I am not bragging, because you did ask.

We are pretty dry in OK but we have still been pretty successful and fortunate this year.  Our wheat can only go another week or so before it is gone for the season between the geese chowing and lack of moisture.  It looks horrible, but the good news is we are supposed to get rain this weekend.

So far this fall:

1 Ross
1 Snow
0 Specks   This is two years in a row I have been skunked on specks
66 Canada's  :)
30 ducks (after this AM)

I only have another goose hunt or two, then going to focus on ducks for the rest of the season.

Hope you guys get some better luck in the next few weeks.

As SX2 said the season is over. Sure was weird with so little water and then the early freeze of what little water we had.
Heading to Arkansas in 2 weeks for our annual hunt. Sounds like it is sure hit or miss down there. From what I read they seem to be short on water also.

Just saw your post here after I left a reply to you on the 20 guage reloading thread. Sorry to hear about not drawing. There is just so much competition for the blind draws. Probably need to come up with a better way of doing it but not sure what that is.
You are right about the water thing. Now we need to make sure it stays around for the season.
