bolt action rifles with interchangeble barrels?  I have been looking (actually more thinking) of a small action bolt rifle with barrel interchangeability so I could shoot pistol calibers; eg., a 223 could interchange barrels to any pistol cartridge based on the 9mm family.  Is there anything out there like that or would something like a Encore be my best bet???  Thanks for your help.  Mikey.

You can do that with an AR15 or a Contender. Not many other choices out there. No bolt guns that I know of, the only 9mm bolt gun I have ever seen is the Spanish Destroyer and it won't work with .223.

There are some bolt guns with interchangeable barrels made in Europe. Mauser and Blaser are two I can think of offhand. Be prepared to spend several thousands though. There are custom builders here in U.S. that convert standard guns. Not cheap either.

Thanks guys.  I knew the choices were limited.  I had entertained the thought of an AR15 with different uppers including a 9mm that might be rechambered but I'll have to think some more about all of this.  Thanks again.  Mikey.
