I'm thinking of getting a Winchester Super Shadow in 243 WSSM. I was wondering if anyone here owns one. If so, what is your impression of this rifle. How is accuracy with factory ammo? Overall reliability?

I'd rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6.

I don't own one, so I can't give you first hand experience.  However, what I can say from what I have heard from a noticeable amount of people is that the .243 WSSM, virtually like all the WSSMs which are very short and fat, can cause feeding problems.

Take my advice and buy something else! After a conversation with a guy who works for Browning/Winchester, I wish my Wife had never bought the one she did. Of cousre, she bought it because it(the shell) was cute and the rifle was "pretty". It's been a pain in my side! Accuracy is around 2 1/2'' at 100yds. The guy at Browning told me he'd thought about buying one,but wouldn't do it until they worked out the reoccurring problems with this one. Accuracy being at the head of the list!

Buy yourself a 243 win and be done with it.

Just a little advice from someone that's THERE now!

I've got one is .25 WSSM.  Does that count?  Dead on accurate.  Light.  No feeding problem.  Turning rapidly into my go to gun.  I was a little concerned about recoil is such a light rifle, but the stock is actually well designed and felt recoil is nowhere near what I thought it would be.  It's not bad at all.  The only thing I've had to do to it is adjust the trigger.   I hope this helps a little.
