Hi to all CZ 550 owners,
Anyone out there has any experience with CZ550 LUX .308 rifle. How is the accuracy? Any attempt to rebarrel the rifle yet. Thanks.

Eddie: Have a CZ 550 lux in .270. Accuracy is excellent. Is a little bit slower than my Rem Sendero but  the Sendero has a much longer barrel.

I don't own a 550 yet but will be getting one soon in 270. If you ask me, the 550 series of rifles are as good as the 527's and 452's - CZ just makes a quality rifle IMHO. I have never attempted to rebarrel a CZ so I won't be much help there. This CZ forum is new here at Graybeard Outdoors so there aren't a lot of us yet but there are some knowledgeable folks - Stick around and maybe someone will be able to help you. :D

I own two CZ527's. One is a LUX with the Bavarian style of stock. I find it great with iron sights but the drop on the stock is too much for scope shooting. Also if the bolt swing is 90 degrees as it is for the 527 you'll end up with high mounts that makes the problem worse. I would stay with the American stock style if possible.

I have two 550 Lux's. 270 and 9.3. Actually using a scope on the dropped stock of the Lux works well for me. I have a more rounder face so I do not have to cram my cheek in as hard with the Lux over a more conventional drop with a cheek piece. By the way both rifles are very accurate.
