Midway is running a special on short chambered Adams & Bennet barrels for Mauser 98 actions.  Anyone have experience with these barrels, and how do they rate?

Hi There,

Although I do not have personal experience with them, I do know of several folks thta have used them to very good effect, there are are a group of fellers on the:-

 "Curio & Relic Firearms forum"

who have built quite a few rifles with these barrels in variuos chamberings including 35 Wheelan and .280 rem. MOA shooting I believe was normally achieved or bettered. If you want first hand knowledge then the site is :-

I wonder if these barrel will fit on a Interarms Action? I'd like to try out a 35 Whelen and this looks like a good and inexpensive way to do it.

I think the Interarms actions are the shorter M48/M48A length actions, not the full-sized 98 Mauser actions.  You would have to see if they recommend thier barrrels for those length actions.  Mikey.

I have 2 of their F34 contours, be advised they are quite heavy.  I built 2 hunting rifles on '98 military mauser actions, one in 270win, the other in 30.06.  The 30.06 I bought their synthetic stock/barrel combination.  Fortunately, mine shoot very well, sub MOA.  They are not finished to a high degree, there are lathe machine marks left that have to be polished out, and they have to be blued.  My experience is they are a reasonable product for the money.
