Turn around time at Freedom Arms for service work?
« on: November 24, 2005, 06:27:11 PM »
I have a M97 44 special that I bought new this year.  I did not opt for the trigger job at the time.   Later on I bought a used M97 357 mag that had the trigger job, and now of course, I want the 44 to match.  Has anyone sent their pistol back to FA for service, and if so, how was the turn around and the work?

Thanks!
Regards,

Tom

Tom;

I've not sent a gun back to them for work but I have requested some different hight front sights for my Mod. 97's and have recivied them within a week.
But I bet it won't take long. They have a SUPER CS Dept.
Be patient, it will be worth the wait.

:D Tom,
             I just got my .50AE back today. It was sent in for a 6" octagon barrel, .500 WE cylinder and black micarta grips. I was told it would take about 2 weeks. The gun came back in under 2 weeks even with the holiday. The workmanship is perfect as expected. I now have a .500 WE /.50AE convertable. I bet you dont see one of those with an octagon barrel every day :lol:
 I own 17 Freedom revolvers and this is the first time I ever sent one back to them for anything. I must say I am very pleased with the service and quality of workmanship. One of my .454s has several thousands of rounds through it and nothing has broken yet.

Best Wishes,
                   Billy

Here are a couple of low quality pictures of the .500 WE
