The Interarms guns were all commercial Mauser 98 actions, generally well thought of. When the war in the Balkans broke out (Bosnians, Serbians, etc) the plant shut down. Klinton banned imports from Yugoslavia until their war was ended and things changed.

After Bush lifted the import ban on them, they are available again under the Charles Daly name. They were and are made in Yugoslavia. Don't confuse the gun and/or the quality with CZ rifles made in the Czech Republic (see the CZ forum).

Some say the Interarms are better than the new Charles Daly rifles. I've handled the field grade Daly rifles, and I would agree the attention to detail is lacking. I've handled and shot the older Interarms versions and I think I like them better. That's just me.

Go to www.charlesdaly.com and check them out.

The Interarms is an easy rebarrel.

And to pls forgive me.  Rogue Ram is right. I had an inter-arms and know it was a 98 mauser. I had been helping a guy with a check, mauser yesterday and my CRS, Old Timers, ETC... set in, and I said check instead of Yugo.

Interarms Whitworth and MArk X Mausers

:D
I still own two Whitworth Mark X rifles and at one time owned a Mark X Whitworth Express rifle and a Mark X Viscount (the cheap version) rifle. All came with the same owner's manual sitting in front of me. All were the same rifle with stock and sight differences. According to the Zvodi CRVENA ZASTAVA printed manual, page 4, item 4, "full interchangeability with standard M98 parts". Hence a Mauser 98 barrel thread should fit. My rifles are large ring types, though this is not stated in the manual.
